Hello,
I have installed 64 bit Microsoft Office 2013 on my system but during the installation I received the following error message. I have 64 bit OS but it shows this annoying message why? Do I need to install the software again? I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance.
We found a problem!
We’re sorry, Office (32bit) couldn’t be installed because you have these 64-bit Office programs installed on your program:
Microsoft Office 32-bit Professional Plus 2010
Microsoft Office Office 32-bit components 2010
32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office programs don’t get along, so you can only have one type installed at a time.
Please try installing the 64-bit version of Office instead, or uninstall your other 64-bit Office programs and try this installation again.
Can’t install Microsoft Office 2013
Hi Michael,
This problem obviously facing because by default when you purchase laptop, it has Microsoft Office along with your operating system which means in your laptop the present OS is 64 bit, they also installed Microsoft office professional 2010 which is 64 bit version and Microsoft Office 32-bit components 2010.
For your kind information you are trying to install 32-bit Microsoft Office which is clearly appearing on error window so I suggest you if you want to install Microsoft office 32-bit than uninstall your Microsoft Office professional plus 2010 which is 64 bit in your programs, now you can install. Otherwise if you need to install a 64 bit version Microsoft Office than no need to uninstall anything. Though you have a 64 bit operating system you can install office 32 bit or 64 bit.
You are trying to install both 32 and 64-bit Microsoft Office in your laptop although you have a 64 bit Office in your laptop, so it will not accept 32-bit Microsoft Office until you uninstall 64-bit office, as alternate for this is to install a 64 bit office.
