Hi
I used windows operating system for a long time and now shifter to open source environment. Currently I am using Ubuntu 11 and I need to know is there a way to use gps with Google maps in Ubuntu operating system?
Thank you
Can we anyhow use in ubuntu gps with Google maps?
Dear user,
You can use Google Earth v4.3 beta, it enables GPS for Google Earth on Linux. To use Google Earth v4.3, you should have the Tools > GPS menu. In this dialog box, you have to click the Realtime tab to start tracking. After this, when you click the Start button, you will see a new entry in Temporary Places called Realtime GPS. The location is relative to Google Earth's installation directory.
Hope this will help you.
Thank you
