Can we connect DVD Home Theater System speakers to my PS4?

I have a Samsung DVD Home Theater System which was given complimentary when I bought a Samsung LED TV. But currently I am not using the home theatre. Now I have bought a new PS4. Will I be able to connect DVD Home Theater System speakers to my new PS4?

Can we connect DVD Home Theater System speakers to my PS4?

If you wanna connect a device like TV,home theater,etc., the
audio from the PS4 is adjusted automatically with respect to
the device. PS4 generates output via HDMI, so nothing to worry
with home theater.
In addition if you have an AV amplifier of a home theater that
is connected to your PS4, you have to make some modifications
manually.
Adjust the following settings
[Sound and Screen] > [Audio Output Settings] > [Primary Output Port] >
[DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL)] in your play station. Hope it helps you.
