Can we migrate to the cloud without changing the existing applications?

A recent survey says that most of the organizations have stalled or failed with their cloud hosting implementations and several other organizations have claimed that they don’t want change their design. Can we migrate to the cloud without changing the existing applications? Can anyone throw light on this issue of cloud migration?

Can we migrate to the cloud without changing the existing applications?

Basically cloud migration is the process of making to move the data and all the related applications from organization onsite premises to the cloud so that information can be made available on internet and serve as per on-demand. The main advantage behind cloud computing to an organization is capital expenditure becomes less. Effective resource allocation can be done. This cloud migration can be between cloud-to-cloud or organization-to-cloud. There are different phases in cloud migration like cloud assessment, proof of concept, moving your data, moving your apps and optimization. Several analysis like contract model analysis, provider analysis, cloud analysis, sizing analysis have to be done while migrating cloud.
