Cannot copy Freedom Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Hi Brainy,

I know the source of the problem but not able to fix it, anyone can help me. I have a CD which is slightly damaged; I copied some files from it but still some files left behind. I get this error message ‘cannot copy freedom: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)’ then the process is aborted without any option. Is there any other way to copy files from damaged CD. Please help.

Cannot copy Freedom Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Cyclic redundancy checks are common error received by individuals while trying to copy/read data from a bad or damaged disk. There is no standard process to recover data from a damaged disk. You may try using windows own data recovery utility or any other freeware software after cleaning the disk thoroughly. Some of the software links are provided below which you can try and most of them are free.
