Could not delete folder because it is being used

I started to make an MS word file and save it to one of my folders about the sales that I made for the company that I’m currently working as a project manager. But when I decided to delete it the folder that have the file that I already finish, a pop-up started to show this “Cannot delete folder: It is used by another person or program”.

I try to restart my computer but again, it cannot be deleted. I do not know how I can delete this folder permanently because I really do not want to add an extra folder in my documents. I hope that there is a solution about this folder. Thanks

Could not delete folder because it is being used

The culprit is usually a program or process on your computer to lock a file or folder without you noticing. Fortunately, a programmer filehippo has created a wonderful free program to help with this problem.

This program is called Unlocker. You can download it from this link

You have three main options when you select Unlocker from the context menu.

1. To kill a process is bound to a single file.
2. You can open the file in the process without killing the process.
3. Open processes locking the file to kill processes. When a file is opened, you can move or delete it.

Hi,

The latest version of Unlocker 1.9.1 by Cedrick Collom allows you to do simple right click of the mouse to delete files that's so stubborn and hard to delete by simple pressing the delete key.

Unlocker is a tool to delete stubborn files. Download this software and you need to locate the specific file that is hard to delete, in your case the folder in your desktop.

Once the software is installed and downloaded, what you need to do are;

• Locate the file, kill the process bound to single file
• By not killing the process after opening the file
• Open processes locking and kill processes of that file
• These are the simple steps to delete that folder in your desktop

Good thing that we have this kind of tool because it's really annoying and frustrating if a folder that you want to delete wants to stay there forever.

Hello Dear,

It is very critical to delete some system folder. Dear i have read your question and i have a best idea for you to delete this folder. Dear restart your computer and run in safe mode. When the desktop comes you will see that there are very large icons are displaying. So you can delete it now and then restart again.
