Hello Pals,
I am trying to load an flp file, but it will not load my kontakt 5 settings and I get the error message shown in the below screenshot. These are the steps I followed while setting up Kontakt5 in FL Studio: I added Kontakt5 as a channel in FL Studio. Then I connect Kontakt5 to FL Studio by editing the wrapper settings and set the input port to 0 in MIDI section. And then chose ‘Automap outputs’ from processing tab. Next, I configure the output stream for every instrument. Finally, I add MIDI outs for each instrument and saved this template. Where have gone wrong in setting up the plug in? Kindly help me to fix this issue. Thanking you for your valuable advice.
There was an error loading the settings for the plugin “Kontakt
5”.
Its settings are not loaded.
You are advised to restart FL Studio.
Don’t save your song now, or make sure you have a backup!
Cannot load Kontakt5 settings when loading an flp file in FL Studio
I think there is a problem with your Kontakt plug-in when used in FL Studio maybe because the plug-in is not integrated with the application or is not included in the program itself. In other words, it is a third-party plug-in that needs to be installed separate from FL Studio. And even after installing Kontakt, FL Studio will still not display the plug-in in the channel list.
This is maybe because Kontakt is not included in FL Studio by default and FL Studio needs to be told to rescan the VST folder so it can recognize the new VST channels to load. To do it properly, you should upgrade to the latest version, FL Studio 11. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all x86 or x64. Also visit FL Studio 8 Installation to download the Mac OS X version of FL Studio 11.
You can get the FL Studio 11 plug-ins from FL Studio Synths. You should also download the latest version of Kontakt, Kontakt 5 Komplete. This one requires Windows 7 or Windows 8 all with the latest Service Packs either x86 or x64. For Mac, it requires Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion. After installing Kontakt, since FL Studio won’t normally display this plug-in among the available channels, you need to rescan the VST folder.
To do this, open FL Studio then go to Channel, Add One, and then select More. After this, you wouldn’t normally see Kontakt in the list. If this happens, find and click Refresh located at the bottom right corner of the list and then select Fast Scan. Avoid using “Scan & Verify” because it normally displays lots of different errors which might confuse you.
After this, you should see three different Kontakt names on the list in red color. Check them all and then add Kontakt 5 in FL Studio as a channel. For more information, visit Kontakt The First Load.
