I received a file that is created from PowerPoint 1995 rather than the newer or later versions of PowerPoint. When I tried to open the file in my PowerPoint 2010, I could not open it. I even scanned it for viruses first to check whether it is a real PowerPoint file or not. How can I open PowerPoint 1995 files in PowerPoint 2010?
Cannot Open PowerPoint 1995 file in PowerPoint 2010
Hi,
You are not sure about the received file whether it is a PowerPoint File or not. First you need to make sure that the received file created from PowerPoint 1995. Click on Properties of the file to know the configuration of the file.
If it is a PowerPoint file from PowerPoint 1995 it is possible to open it in PowerPoint 2010 as the PowerPoint 2010 is not compatible with the PowerPoint 1995.
You are suggested to use lower versions of PowerPoint. In PowerPoint 2000 you can open it. However, you need to confirm the file configuration and then try to open it with a lower version of the software.
I hope you understand it.
Thanks.
Cannot Open PowerPoint 1995 file in PowerPoint 2010
Hello,
Don’t try to open it again because you will not be able. But don’t worry there is a solution. You need to convert Power Point 1995 files in some newer format. I propose to you to convert those .ppt files into .pps files. You can convert them by some software. But that software costs a lot of money.
But I propose to you to convert those files online. It's free and you don’t even need to register. Find converter online and just upload your old files > then click on the convert button. After that you can download new .pps file. With these you can open your old power point files.
I hope I helped you.
