Cannot receive E-mail outside of Network

I have added email domain to our “SBS 2003 Exchange” server. “Domain A” (original) which is working for, sending, receiving, etc. “Domain B” (added) can’t receive email outside of the network. From house I can send and receive email to all other domains. When I send mail from “Hot-mail” or any other mail service provider to “domain B”, I get an error “SMTP error '554 5.1.2'”.

I have checked setting and all seems good. The MX records appear correctly. 'a' records point of Both domains for same IP, MX records are “mail.A.com” and other “mail.B.com” (I added the second domain in recipient policies and it is checked)When you send internally, are you sending to the same address you're attempting from the outside?

Hi Anonymous,

You can try the following options:

  1. Use telnet 25 to send email instead of Exchange 2003
  2. In exchange 2003 you have defined the domain as authoritative.

Might probably the problem is with the DOMAIN.  You have to go to ESM and search for the recipient folder.  Then find the policies for the recipient.  Try to open policy folder or policy recipient.  Then you will be notified if Exchange is "liable" for the space in address.  It only means its authoritative.

      3.   Might be the space in the address of your connector

      4.   You have not defined for you as user in the recipient policy.

Hope this might help you.

Thanks
