Cannot send e-mail via Outlook Express

I know Outlook Express is out of fashion, but I still use it.

When I try to send or receive e-mail using Outlook Express I receive the following error:

Please review the list of errors below for more details.
 
The connection to the servers has failed. Account 'mail.domain.com',Server:'mail.domain.com', Protocol POP3, Post: 110, Secure(SSL):No, Socket Error: 10061,

0 of 1 tasks have completed successfully
 
I have tried to solve this problem myself but could not.
 
Any solution to this problem?

Hi,

This error usually points to a wrong connection configuration.

What I suggest is that you double check your account settings in outlook express and verify the same from the one provided by your ISP .

Hi,

Here's the resolution related To: 0x800CCC0E

* Your computer has to be restarted

* Then you need to disable any Firewall or Antivirus software

* If that doesn't work, you need to recreate your mail account and send a test message.

* If you still not able to send/receive mail then test in web mail to verify that the account works.

* If able to send in web mail then there is an issue with MS Outlook / Outlook Express or faulty Firewall/Antivirus Software.

* My strong recommendation is to call your Security Software provider to check the settings.

* Lastly, re-install software or else, contact Microsoft to check advanced settings of your email client software.
