I cannot use the microphone functionality of my A4 Tech JCSM Webcam, when I used it for video call the person whom I’m calling cannot hear anything from me. I have already reinstalled the driver for this webcam and also reinstalled the driver for my sound card hoping to fix this problem, I’ve done the configuration wizard for audio but still no sound is produced but I am not sure about this. Can someone guide me on how to make this work?

Hi,

I think the problem is regarding microphone configuration setting. You should go to your sound/audio setting and select your model of microphone where line-in or microphone setting of your PC. There is a more easy way, you can also use skype or yahoo messenger to configure your microphone setting. 

If you have Skype, go to call>audio setting. Select your microphone until it appears successfully configured. 

In case of yahoo messenger, go to help>setup video and voice follow the instructions. 

Finally it will get sound form your microphone. If you have problem now your build-in microphone may have damaged.

I think the problem here is not with your device but with the program you are using to access your webcam. Maybe you did not properly configure the program that’s why the device is not properly accessed and no sound was accessible. If you are using Skype like the one posted above, make all the proper configurations in the settings so that your webcam will work as what it should be doing.

Your webcam has its own program so you can also configure itself without using a different application. You can use it to test it for the audio and video capabilities.
