Canon 4508B002 CanoScan LiDE210 Scanner not recognized

I just recently bought this scanner. I thought that it is already plug and play device. Can you help me how to install this properly? It is not showing in my desktop or any other devices connected with my computer. What is the use of Acrobat ProX with this device? What are the software that I can link with this scanner? Can you give me instructions on how to do that? Can you suggest more alternative ways on how to resolve my problem with this scanner? Thank you!

How are you doing? Hope you are fine.

 

Regards your question on Can you help me how to install this properly? Did it come with a installation CD or a Canoscan driver CD for you to install on your computer. If so please use that CD to run the driver installation 

 

 

If you are unable to find the driver CD you can download the drivers from the Cannon website 

 

Here you can navigate to drivers and software, your operating system is detected automatically.

 

Then click on drivers and click on the driver below and then it will download automatically. Later you can run the downloaded file for it to be installed. 

 

Please remember half way through the installation the set up wizard will ask the scanner to be plugged in through the USB for the drives to be installed accordingly, so please have the scanner switched on and plugged in at that time
