When I delete unwanted applications from my Sony Ericsson K800i mobile phone, a message comes as "Operation Failed".
When I retry again the message is still coming as "Operation Failed".
Why is it?
Why can't I delete them?
Can’t delete my phone applications
This appears to be a common problem with the K800i of Sony Ericsson. Most users claim about phone restarting or even master reset cannot solve the problem.
It appears to be a corrupted file system. The only solution is to reflash the firmware. Take it to an authorized Sony Ericsson dealer for repairs or you can update the firmware by downloading SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) and installing it on your PC.Â
Connect the phone to a USB port using the data cable that was supplied with your phone. Follow the instructions from SEUS. If there is any updated firmware for your phone, then it will be downloaded and flashed onto your phone. Before flashing, make sure you have a full battery.
Hope this helps.

Can’t delete my phone applications
Dear tecyv experts,
There are some models of Sony Ericsson that when we copy files or applications from computer to mobile phone, they automatically become read only files. If you want to delete these files in the mobile, then you can copy files or applications.Â
After you copy these files, right click on Properties of these files and in the General Tab and unmark the Read-Only option. Then you can easily remove these files or applications from your mobile phone.
The second way to delete these files are to you use the data cable or the memory card reader and connect your mobile phone with the PC where you can easily delete these unwanted files from your phone.
