Help please. Recently a colleague used my USB flashdrive to transfer contents to his Laptop. Since then, I have not been able to delete or format the drive.
I can access it, copy some of the files but I can't delete. Every time I try to delete or format , it always says the Drive is locked. I have tried some software recommended by a friend to assist format the drive but it doesn't seem to be working.
Help please. I need my drive back. Its a 4GB Kingston.

Can’t delete or format contents in my USB Drive
If some of the file's are not deleted but some do, it is caused by a virus that is in the drive, as well as in the computer. So you need an Antivirus to scan the drive, if it may solve the problem.
If you do not have the Antivirus and can’t install the Antivirus you have a serious problem. The virus is so strong that you have to re-install Windows(OS) or if your pen drive has the psychical lock then unlock it. (Many pen drives have a psychical lock). If your pen drive is locked due to a virus there is a site where you can learn how to unlock it
