I'm using Window Live Messenger 2011 but I can't see the icon for “emoticons” for both default and custom.
I just can’t see the shortcut for the “emotions”.

Can’t see Windows Live Messenger emoticons
Hi there!
You need to customize your Live Messenger to be able to see emotions. You could do that manually. Just follow the instructions below and then you will be able to see those emotions:
Open MSN tools. Then go to "options" from there. Now you need to go to messages and then enable these two options:
1. Show emotions.
2. Show custom emotions.
Now, restart you messenger and then it will be perfectly fine.
Cheers!

Can’t see Windows Live Messenger emoticons
Hi Tun!
I have seen your problem and you are absolutely right to be annoyed as the original emotions impact only appears when you have images instead of : ) or :D. While using MSN Messenger Live 2011, you have variety of options and could easily customize your messenger.
In older versions, there was a problem due to some vital attachment. You lose your emotional snaps associated with your messenger and have no customization related to these images. Please see the image given below and perform all these tasks step by step to solve this issue.
It will definitely help you out in MSN Messenger 2011.
Have a great day!
