Cant update my Corsair Force GT 120 GB SSD

Hello

I am using the Corsair Force GT 120 GB SSD with Firmware 1.2 on my system. It is working perfectly fine as before installing it I set BIOS to AHCL. The flash utility was also running as admin. It was successfully installed but before I reinstalled it an error appeared. I successfully downloaded FW from a website and installed all window updates and drivers. The drive was connected to native SATA3 port controlled by AMD southbridge.

Now just yesterday I purchased another Corsair Force GT 120 GB SSD but with a new firmware of 1.3.3 which was already installed with it. So now my target was to update my old SSD FW from 1.2 to 1.3.3.

When I tried to do so I was met with an error. The screenshot of the error is as follows:

FATAL_ERROR: Firmware download failed with error :(ECode 0000000057)

OK

I don’t know why this happened but I think it might be due to the difference in FW.

Your suggestions are required to fix the issue.

Hi there Herman H Johnson,

 

The difference in Firmware shouldn't be the problem. besides that, the error says it all – the download has failed, so you should look for the solution in your network connection.  Make sure your internet connection is fine, your firewall is off and your antivirus software is not blocking the download. Once you've done that, you should try to do the fresh download with the antivirus disabled.
