I am trying to use Microsoft Office 2010. When I try to open the program, I get an application error message from OFFDIAG.EXE telling me that it was unable to start correctly.
I have been using Microsoft Office for some time now and have never had any problems.Â
OFFDIAG.EXE – Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Techyv!
Can’t use Microsoft Office 2010
Hi,
There are several reasons for this error. Some of them are as follows:
1. Your windows registry is misconfigured or corrupt. To resolve this issue please make sure that you have a good antivirus installed on your PC. And then try to recover your PC to some earlier stage.
2. Your device driver which is required by windows for booting is corrupt. Try to reinstall the device driver or update the device driver.
3. You can also have this error because of some hardware issues. Please make sure that each hardware component is attached correctly. Try to replace the hardware which is creating problems. Specially there can be a problem with your hard drive or with the boot sector of your hard drive.

I will recommend that you run the Microsoft diagnostic tool by using the following procedure:
Â
-
Go to start, all programs then Microsoft office.
-
Navigate to Microsoft office tools and choose Microsoft Office diagnostics’.
-
A dialog box will appear asking you if Microsoft Office is having problems, click continue.
-
Another dialog box will appear prompting to start the process, click ‘run diagnostics’.
-
The diagnostic will run step by step for about 15 minutes. After that a summary of the repairs that were made will be displayed.
-
If this does not work then you may consider reinstalling office.
Â
Cheers.
