I’m getting ORA 12516 TNS listener error. What is the cause of this error? What should I do to fix this error correctly?

Causes For ORA 12516 TNS Listener Error In Oracle

This error is seen, as none of the known service handlers for the SERVICE_NAME support the client’s protocol like session, transport, and presentation protocols. To fix this issue make sure that SERVICE_NAME is registered with the listener and make sure that they are accepting the connections and whether it is configured correctly to support the required protocols or else try increasing the value for PROCESSES in the init.ora file.
