Hi,
CCDAutopilot software is a complete imaging automation program that we (me and 2 other partners) use for research. We got it working properly for a few days but recently it has been displaying the following error when launched.
Link to software error, the SkyXAdapter.StarChart1:COleException: Type mismatch.
(80020005) SCODE:80020005

If you have only used the program for only a few days then there is probably some minor update made to your operating system that caused this problem. First check if Windows Automatic Update is turned on. If this feature is turned on, Microsoft Windows will download operating system updates on a regular basis and it usually installs patches.
You will see all the patches been installed if you will visit Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Your first option is to try to restore your operating system to the date before the patch was installed or to the date when the program was still working fine. But keep in mind that doing this will disable the patch.
If this works then you are sure now that the update disabled or affected your program. If you want to restore the update or the patch, first uninstall CCDAutoPilot from your computer and then restart your machine. Next, run Windows Automatic Update and then install the patch. If it requires a restart then reboot your computer.
Just install again CCDAutoPilot after that and see if it works.
