CD drive on my computer cannot open

Hallo there,

I want to use the CD drive on my computer but it cannot open. I proceeded to removing the driver from the add remove programs. However, the computer tells me it does not recognize the new hardware even after restarting it. What is the problem here and how do I fix such an issue?

Yes, this happens sometimes, just search the driver for your cd-rom and install it. If this doesn't work, reinstall Windows or install Driver Genius to update all of the drivers on your PC. this software will automatically update all of your drivers. Hi,

You said you already tried restarting it with no success.  Check if the internal connections are properly connected. If it still does not open try opening it manually using a paper-clip by inserting it in a small hole at the front,  then try loading a  CD in it, if it still reads the cd, your opening mechanism may be the problem and I suggest you have it repair by a comp technician or just buy a new cd drive.
