Hi there Monica,

Here’s how you can change your Windows XP fonts.

1. Go to the Start button.
2. Click the Control Panel.
3. Go to the Appearance and Themes.
4. Click Display.
5. This option enables you to change:

  • Style or size of Fonts you want and you can also enlarge the fonts.
  • Change the icons and basically personalization of your desktop.
  • For some themes you cannot change font style they only have one font for certain themes.
  • If you want to customize your desktop choose the themes that have various fonts to choose from.

6. See if that’s the style you are after or go back to step 1 and personalize your desktop until you are satisfied with the outcome.

Another way is to right click on the desktop screen and left click on Properties, select the Appearance tab and click on the Advance button then from the Drop-down list select the Fonts from the drop down arrow then click on OK twice to close all the dialog boxes. You can view the changes that you made once you launch My Computer. If you want to change more things just repeat the steps mentioned above.

Hope these tips helped.

Maybe the simplest way to change the font style is to right click on your screen and then choose Properties. Click on the Appearance tab and then choose Advanced. A drop-down list will appear and you can select Fonts from that list. After setting the font you like, close all boxes and launch My Computer to see the changes.
