I have just bought Chromecast and whenever I try to enter in the four-digit code that is displayed for it to connect, it fails to recognize my Wi-Fi completely. I am using a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND and I do not want to make new configuration settings before I know what the problem is. Can you help me find out its problem?

One of the easy and simple way is to troubleshoot ChromeCast, the system will automatically solve the problem you're facing.

Another option is to do a factory reset it will automatically bring the ChromeCast on to its factory setting and may be it will start detecting your Wi-Fi.

Ensure that wireless Isolation is disabled.

Another solution is, Enter 192.168.0.1 in a browser window.
Click on 'Advance Setup'
In table 4, Check the boxes for DirectX, Direct TV STB 1, 2 and 3 and after this click apply.

Restart your router and try to connect ChromeCast.
