Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller license

Hello techyV,

I need your help!

I have downloaded the XenDesktop 4 Express edition and got this error while doing installation of the Citrix Licensing Server on the domain controller guest:

Citrix License Error

Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller does not have the required licenses present on the license server.

Please add the relevant licenses to the license server using the License Management Console.

I have put the rest of the XenDesktop components on member guest domain. I uploaded the XenDesktop_Express_Edition_License.lic file into the Citrix License Manager Console. Again the same Error.

Any advice on what to do?

Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller license

Hi friend,

To solve this problem you have to do some work first. First of all check the version of the license server from the license directory from the server. So check out the license server with XenDesktop and also detect Platinum License. If the license of XenDesktop and detect Platinum is now operational then you can reinstall XenDesktop from CD.

Another option is find license server and find update for it. There are many new versions of license server as like version – 11.5 is the latest for now. To download this visit https://www.citrix.com/downloads/. XenDesktop 4 Express edition is too old for now. Find new update.
