Who is responsible for the security of stored data in cloud? Since corporations, government and individual depend on vendors for storing personal data and other sensitive materials, how secure are these data? What security measures are in place in securing these data? Can government of the vendor access the data with the vendors’ knowledge?

To directly answer you first question, both user and vendor are responsible for the security of the data stored in cloud computing. It is one of the major and critical services that a vendor should provide. And for the user, it is his responsibility that the data stored should not be compromised by following strict compliance in accessing the data using cloud computing. While the vendor is the keeper and the user is the client, the accessibility of the data is only provided to the user. Hence, the vendor’s prime responsibility is to meet and provide the Service Level Agreement.
