I have heard about aix mksysb command. What is the purpose of this command? What is the syntax for this command? If the system has multibos environment then which command can I use?

Command: Aix mksysb command creates backup of the Operating System.

The purpose of this command is that it creates an installable image of the root volume group onto a bootable tape. It creates a backup of the OS. The root volume group is the operating system that you are using. The alt_disk_mksysb command is used to restore the backup if the system has a multibos environment.
