The competitive multiplayer mode of Halo 4
Â
For one, the multiplayer aspect of Halo 4 will have a story, so don’t expect the run-of-the-mill multiplayer objectives like the usual Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. But one of the new features for multiplayer in Halo 4 is the introduction of the Spartan Ops mode, which are multiplayer cooperative game modes that Bungie, the game’s developer, will unravel after the game’s release in a chapter-by-chapter basis. With each Spartan mode chapter having a story and cinematic sequences.
If you really want to play the token multiplayer features found in every shooter game though, you can play them by using the multiplayer feature of Halo 4 called War Games. This mode is inspired by the current Call of Duty and Battlefield games by introducing the loadouts system. It means that they can choose what type of primary and secondary weapons they can start with on the game. This adds constant replayability and continuous testing of the different loadouts to know which is the most effective. But the loadouts are not limited to just weapons, because armor abilities can also be chosen in your preferred loadout. So expect players to experiment different combinations of weapons and abilities to present the most innovative fighting experience.
There are still many features of Halo 4’s multiplayer worth mentioning (like the Killstreaks system) but these features are not finalized yet. So expect all of the features of multiplayer to be finalized a few months before its actual release.
