Computer fan giving noises after some time and PC becomes hot.

My desktop PC has two fans and one of the fan has started giving noises after a while has passed after turning on the computer. This usually happens when I am running high end games or applications. Also the PC has started becoming really hot due to one fan not functioning properly. Can I fix this fan? Is it repairable or will I have to replace it?

Computer fan giving noises after some time and PC becomes hot.

To fix fan problem on your PC, you follow the following instructions:

** First of all, remove the fan and remove the sticker which is on fan. After that you can see shaft and split ring. Takeout that split ring and keep it aside. Try to leave O-ring the place or else keep it on the fan shaft. Now, add few drops of any lubricant. After that, reassemble all the system.

** Keep your fan clean regularly.

** Use tools like Speedfan and smcFanControl so that you can manually slow down the fan speed.
