Computer freezes up on me constantly

Thanks in advance for your help. When using my computer (desktop), I notice that it freezes up and this occurs rather frequently.  It is disrupting my usage and I'm not sure how to get this to stop. I have tried rebooting and starting over and that isn't working, it keeps doing it. My anti-virus is up to date. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Computer freezes up on me constantly

It is advisable to try following these strategies to solve your issue

1. First of all, scan the computer with your virus guard to detect any malware attack for causing the issue.
2. If there are extra monitor adapters and cords available, try connecting them. If the issue persists, there can be a problem in power, system board or display.
3. Check whether the GPU is free from dust and the fans are functioning properly.
4. Then go to Advanced settings & reduce the refresh rate to 70-75 and increase the resolution to the maximum level possible. Now, restart the computer.
5. If all these steps fail to solve the problem, seek for technical assistance since a full or partial replace of some parts might be needed.
