Your power supply is probably going bad. It gets hot and then shuts down. It might also be a bad power supply fan,

That is the power supply might not be getting hot because of a problem with the power supply but because the fan isn't cooling it properly.

There are possible ways that makes your computer to restart. It could be a worn out power supply that overheats or it could be a "Malicious program" that runs in your computer. Start the computer in CMOS Settings mode, usually by pressing the DEL key or a function key early in startup, then watch for it to restart. If it still restarts, you have a hardware problem. If not, it is a software problem.

For a software problem, look for programs that start automatically and stop them using the Task Manager (control+alt+delete). It should be possible to determine which program is doing it and uninstall it. Apparently, if the problem got worse,  then I suggest you go to your local computer store/service and ask about and possibly get it fixed. There may also just be a setting on the computer that has been set incorrectly, you can also find out if the setting is wrong by the computer store too.

Hope this will help you

In a computer, there are many things that can cause it to shut down by itself automatically. One is thermal. This can happen if the processor overheats causing the system to shut down automatically. To see if the cause is overheating, start the computer after ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20).

On startup, your BIOS or the POST screen will display a message saying something like “Thermal shutdown occurred” or something similar. If you see this, it means your processor overheated and you have a problem with your machine’s cooling system. In this case, the first thing to check is the CPU cooling fan.

Start your computer then press DEL, DELETE, F2, or whichever key is used to go to the BIOS. In the BIOS, navigate to the power management section then see if there is an option for the CPU cooling fan. If there is, try increasing the rate of the cycle. Also, check the CPU cooling fan inside the tower if it is spinning fast.

If you think it spins slower than normal, try lubricating the fan or replace it with a new one. On the other hand, if the problem is not related to thermal, another possible cause is the installed device which can be the sound card, video card, network card, memory module, and so on. This is harder to detect because sometimes you won’t find a visible difference.

In my old Dell computer, the usual sudden shut down was caused by the broken sound card. Because of the sudden shut down and sometimes untimely restart, my hard drive was damaged. If you noticed something is not right with one of your devices, disable it in the BIOS if the device is built-in.
