We use Server 2008 RD. We have a group in the Active Directory with several computers in it. The group has access to a single file but none of the computers in the group can actually access it. I created another group using the computer's users and they were able to access the file. All were members of the domain. Did I miss something? We need to work by computer and not by user. I would appreciate any help.

Hello,

Ensure that permissions are granted at all appropriate levels and in every necessary way. Also, ensure that any necessary overrides are set appropriately. This is likely the result of a bad configuration. You need to inspect the configurations of each machine more closely. You may also have to purge configurations and set them again. Sometimes it is not a matter of the right configuration, but the right configuration with the correct sequence. The right sequence is sometimes necessary because of the quirks of a system.
