How could I configure a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) tools on the system and connection direct to the accounts? Is it necessary to establish security here or that the device is an extension of one of my Windows Servers using their safety? What was the common exercise? Help please.

The NAS devices may be used in DB2 Content Manager as storage systems. As for the requirements that are required when it comes to setting up the Network Attached Storage, there are specific connection requirements, and they may vary according to the operating system that is being used on the resource manager.

You will note that a resource manager on UNIX will require that the NAS volumes should be mounted with a Network File System. But on windows, the resource manager will require that the NAS volumes only be mapped using a Common Internet File System  Something that the NAS device should do is support the appropriate protocol, for either NFS or CIFS, so that  the resource manager can be able to connect to it.
