Configure a Pair of Twisted 8-Position Modular Connector RJ45 Cable
Hi RachelÂ
Â
It is quite simple to get mixed up and always be sure that when inserting the cable into the jr45 plug that the clip part of it is facing down that way pin one will always be on the left.
Also make sure the wires are cut straight and go all the way in.

Configure a Pair of Twisted 8-Position Modular Connector RJ45 Cable
Hello Dear,
There are two types of cables used in networking.
Cross cable
Straight cable
If you are linking two same devices with one another then you have to use cross cable. Configuration of cross cable is as below.
=========>    First end of cable   <==================
1. White orange
2. Orange
3. White green
4. Blue
5. Â White blue
6. Green
7. White brown
8. Brown
========>  Second end of cable   <=================
1. White green
2. Green
3. White orange
4. Blue
5. White Blue
6. Orange
7. White brown
8. Brown
But if you are going to link two different devices then you have to use straight cable.
Â
=========>    Both end of cable   <==================
1. White orange
2. Orange
3. White green
4. Blue
5. Â White blue
6. Green
7. White brown
8. Brown
Thanks
