Configuring the Cisco Net DPC3928 modem to leave the DLink DIR 803

I need help on my NET Cisco DPC3928 modem. I was unable to disable it so I can use my D-Link  DIR-803 router. It is shows something about incompatibility issue and that I should contact a technical support from D-Link and it also shows a step-by-step instruction such as altering my IP address, bridge and more. I followed everything including some tutorials that I found online, but nothing works. I need tips to make my router work. Thanks.
