I'm using a computer that runs on Windows XP. I want to connect it's display to my Windows 7 laptop. How can I do that?

Hi David,

Such a great idea connecting the screen of your Windows XP to your windows 7, please take note that this is only applicable to Windows professional edition, please see the steps below.

On your Windows XP computer.

Remote tab button, then click the Allow users to connect remotely to this computer check box

1. Click Start button and then right-click My Computer.
2. At the shortcut menu that will appears, click Properties button.
3. Click the Remote tab button, then click the Allow users to connect remotely to this computer check box.
4. To confirm this change, click OK.
5. Click the Select Remote Users button, then click Add to specify user accounts to be granted remote access.

On your Windows 7 computer.

computer name of your windows XP computer, click connect

1. Click start and select RUN.
2. In the box provided type MSTSC.
3. In the pop up box type the computer name of your windows XP computer, click connect.
4. When ask for a username, supply the username that you grated access in Windows XP.

So this is it, you can now use remote access. Enjoy!
