I'm using my smart phone to connect the Internet via WiFi somewhere in hotspot area, but suddenly when I'm trying to connect the network it was secured by the wep encryption. Is it possible to continue connecting the internet without the wep key?

WEP generally stands for wireless equivalent privacy. It is the assigned password to access the wireless internet connection. It would be impossible to connect to a secured wireless connection without providing the correct WEP key.

As an alternative, To be able to take advantage of the wireless internet connection outside, try connecting to unsecured wireless internet connection instead.

Another option is to check your internet service provider for internet-to-go services. A subscription of wireless internet connection where in you will be provided with a usb stick which serves as your modem, the device which broadcasts internet signal.
