Connection error to excel as a data source

Hi,

I am in trouble using Excel while I was trying to connect to excel as a data source and suddenly an error message appeared. I can’t understand to resolve this matter. The error message appeared as followed. I really need your help to fix this issue.

ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Connection error to excel as a data source

Hi Richard,

                This error usually comes up when the application being imported and the file being exported are not written in the same database language.  Make sure that both are written in Access or SQL. This is an incorrect coding error that is having problems with the connection. You can create a DSN on your computer. However, you can check the system type and install the proper DSN on your computer (32 bit or 64 bit).
