I have two computers : one with Windows 7 and the second with Linux Ubuntu. I have one router, it contains only one RJ45 port (without wireless option). I want to connect my two computers to the Internet? How can I do that? Does it require others devices?

To do this, you may try the 3P box with networking load balance. Another option is to have two routers with each computer using a different connection because this is commonly used so it is much easy to advice and even to administrate. Otherwise using one router for both the systems will cause errors especially when you try adding the same port to an IP address.

I may advice you to set up landing pages where visitors can access. Then have one for the Windows and the other for Linux. Then set up the Linux port on a different server from that of Windows.

Another option is configuring Windows in exchange server absolute and then Linux in HTTP/SSL as well as other domains.

Hi Naomie,

For sure you can connect the computers and have Internet access on both of them. But to do this, you will need to subscribe with an ISP and get an Internet box, which I do not think will cost much, in this case where you have two computers. You might want to make the computers three so that one of them works as the server.

Then with the router, and of course the cables which will have the RJ45 connectors, you connect the computers to the Internet box and there, you will have your home network up and running.

Hope this helps.
