I read about your problem and to fix it you must install the Microsoft Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 on your PC, you can download it from the Microsoft website. Microsoft has released a service pack for the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.
When installing the Compatibility Pack you will be able to open, edit, save, and create files using the formats that are used by Office 2010 and the 2007 Office system. Office Compatibility Pack is available together with installation instructions and deployment strategies.
