Convert from Quicken to QuickBooks
You did not mention which Quicken version you are using. If your data is in Quicken 2011 or earlier, you need to download the Quicken to QuickBooks conversion tool.
Remember:
QuickBooks can convert Quicken file if its either versions 2012-2012 or 2013-2013 so you do not need to use the conversion tool. And if you are using Quicken for Mac, refer to the link below:
Convert from Quicken for Mac to QB for Mac and Windows
To convert Quicken (2012 or later) to QB or after running the conversion tool, follow the steps below:
1. Launch QuickBooks.
2. Select File menu and then go to Utilities and then Convert. Choose the From Quicken option.
3. Choose your .QDF file that you wish to convert.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. If you received an error message that says:
"It looks like you're converting from an older version of Quicken. Before we convert your file, please use the Quicken Conversion Tool first.".
This means you need to use the Conversion Tool to convert the .QDF to QuickBooks.
