Converting an mp4 to aac in Mac

I have a video file that needs to be converted to aac in a mac, since Im new to mac is there any converter that is available that I can use? Does iTunes offers such a download or do I get it from an independent party? would the quality reduce upon conversion

There is an app from the iTunes Apple store which can convert mp4 to aac as required by you.
