Copy SMS messages from iPhone 3G to 4S

Yes, you can copy your SMS message from your iPhone 3G to 4S. Here's how.

STEP 1. Download the latest version of your iTunes and iOS.

STEP 2. Connect your old iPhone (3G) and back it up. To do this, here's how: 

As soon as your device is connected to your computer, your iTunes window should prompt.

Under DEVICES, right click your iPhone, and a drop down menu shows up, click BACK UP.

This may take some time. 

STEP 3. After backing up your old device, connect your iPhone 4S into your computer. You will be prompted if you wish to back-up your iPhone, or set up your iPhone as a new device. Select back-up of your current iPhone. 

This will take more time, so please be patient and refrain from "playing" with your iPhone. 

STEP 4. Your iPhone 4S will restart as soon as back-up is finished. Verify that your old SMS Messages are present under your Messages Icon.

STEP 5. You can now also change or verify the items you want to change under the Music, Videos, Apps, etc. click SYNC.
