I need help with Exchange 2010. I installed Update Rollup 3 which includes other performance enhancements. It seems that I have successfully installed it and restarted when the prompt asked to restart. However, after re-starting, all services related to Exchange 2010 just stopped working. I tried to restart the disabled services and was able to bring back my Outlook clients online but still cannot get into the Outlook Web Access. It merely shows a blank screen with the error: Syntax Error flogon.js Line:1 Code:0 Char:1 Can you tell me what is the problem all about and how to resolve it? Thank you.
Could Not Access Outlook Web Access
Yes, this is a very serious problem. Many people face this installation problem while updating / installing Rollup 3. When you update the roolup3, it installs normally. But, it leaves the OWA-folder empty. For this reason, the blank screen and syntax error is generated.
First, find the Exchange2010-KBxxx-x64-en.msp from the C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload folder.  You will find the file from one of Download’s sub directories. (The .msp-file can be found in the directory named img). Now, start the Administrative Exchange management-shell. Type and go the folder where the .msp file is. Type ii Exchange2010-KB97653-x64-enn.msp in the shell.  Restart and your pc and run all programs. Now, the error will be gone, and you will be free from the blank screen problem.

From my understanding you need to have first backed up your files first before installing update rollup 3.
To solve the problem turn off "check for publishers certificate revocation" on the server that you are upgrading. Then when update is complete you recheck it.
With this said when you update the rollup 3 it overwrites the (OWA). and if you have changed the Logon.aspx or other (OWA) files, the customizations are overwritten to make sure that (OWA) is updated correctly. so after applying rollup update you must recreate OWA customization in Logon.aspx
