Could not initialize the browser’s security component
Martyables,
Your problem here is very easy to be solved, as long as the system has specified the errors incurred. The main thing you need to do in this case is to check the memory of your hard disk and the registry or the 'directory' as it has been noted. As you can see, in this case, the most likely error is the space in your hard drive. You will need to reduce the memory of your local disk by using these steps;
i) Go to 'Start' button and click on it.
ii) Go to 'My computer and click on it to open.
iii) Go to the drive 'Local disk: C'.
iv) Right click on it and select 'properties'.
v) In the 'General' tab reduce the memory.
Check for file permissions in the Firefox profile folder using the following steps;
i) In the Firefox window, click on the Firefox menu, go to Help menu, (Win XP, click on the Help menu) and select 'Troubleshooting Information'. The tab will open.
ii) Under 'Application Basics' click on 'Open containing folder'. A window with your profile files will open.
iii) At the top of Firefox window, click on 'Firefox' button. ('File' menu in Win XP) and click 'Exit'.
iv) Right click on the file named 'cert8.DB'.
v) Click on 'Properties'. A dialog box will appear.
vi) Go to 'General' tab.
vii) Make sure the 'Read only' checkbox is checked.
viii) Finally, click on 'Ok'.
You need to restart Firefox.
This should solve the error.
Thanks.
