Could not open the start up scene on DAZ Studio

Hi Tech Experts,

The download and installation of DAZ Studio was pretty well and good without any errors. However, the problem triggered when I startup the DAZ Studio for the first time. I am not technical person, just beginner in DAZ Studio. I know I would have made some mistake while installation. I tried to trap the error, but I can't. It is missing a file,how do I fix the missing file in the folder? Please help. Your help is great. Thanks a lot.

/Users/Dendron/APPS/DAZ/Daz Studio 4.5/people/Genesis/Genesis.duf

File does not exist.

Could not open the start up scene on DAZ Studio

If you received an error message that talks about Genesis.dsf or .duf file that cannot be found when starting DAZ Studio, check on the path and ensure that it is valid. And you need to check if Genesis Starter Essentials is installed. Genesis.dsf is an old format but DAZ Studio can still be able to read it, but it provides it as .duf file. If DAZ Studio is looking for .dsf file and you have the latest .duf file, it cannot be found on the default scene so you need to change the path. By default, Genesis.duf file is located at:

For Mac Users:

– /Users/Shared/My DAZ 3d Library/People/Genesis/Genesis.duf

For Windows Users:

– C:UsersPublicDocumentsMy DAZ 3D LibraryPeopleGenesisGenesis.duf

Alter the path oin Studio to correct the location of .duf file on your HDD.
