Could now retrieve ID for FaceBook widget

Hey, everyone!

I have a problem with my Facebook widget. I know I typed the Facebook URL correctly and I kept the widget system properly. But when I want to visit the blog, the following error message pops up:

"Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in."

The link is working fine but the hideous pink error box is still there.

Please help me.

Hello Milodiaz,

Let me try to solve your problem. You must take into account first that the Facebook widget only works with Facebook Pages (and not Personal Profiles). Before trying anything else, to try to enter the URL for your Facebook Page, for example:

• https://www.facebook.com/galarpe

This is a problem which is caused by a certain script which may have been added. There is a setting in Facebook Fanbox Pro to disable connect script to disable the Facebook API code as that might have been already added. Using that setting disable it and then test.
