Could someone explain to me how to connect ODBC data sourcing that will identify Lotus Notes? Here is an example, If I make a file named dsn (lotus), then I use Talend Open Studio to try connecting to it, I receive the message “not found”. Even though I can still use Microsoft Access to contact the data source. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

With an ODBC connection, we can connect to any database, on any computer in your network, as long as an ODBC connection is available.
First if you are using windows xp, windows7,windows vista then you should first enable the IIS services on your computer. For this you go to start panel click on control panel
Go to the Programs and Features
Then you click on turn windows feature on or off
Enable the IIS services and click ok After restart computer you apply the procedure below.
-
Open the ODBC icon in your Control Panel.
-
Choose the System DSN tab.
-
Click on Add in the System DSN tab.
-
Select the Microsoft Access Driver. Click Finish.
-
In the next screen, click Select to locate the database.
-
Give the database a Data Source Name (DSN).
-
Click OK.
