CRC Data error in disk management

Hi,

I get this error message when I try to initialize the external hard disk. I tried this after reboot the system but still I get this error message. I am running the operating system from external hard disk. Help me access the files in the disk without formatting. Really, I am in help. Please assist me solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

CRC Data error in disk management

Such error isn’t good for your HDD. If the drive is in heavy use or having error, this error will generate. In order to fix this issue, try formatting the partition, and then do the task again.

Also, try this command for fixing this issue:

1. Start Command Prompt with administrative privilege. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator”.
2. Now, type the following line and hit enter:
   chkdsk x: /f
   Optionally, you can run this command for fixing bad sectors too:
   chkdsk x: /r
   This will fix any issue found with the drive.

Now, your problem should have gone.
