There is direct way to do that , copy paste and delete function is windows depth based tools .I will give you antoher way .
1.I hope you are the admin of your PC , if yes then create another limited account (standard account) or just enable guest feature .
2.Now put on a passwod for your current admin account .
So now when your friends use your PC they cant loging to your account , but they can use your PC as a guest with very less rights . They cant copy , cut or delete your files. SO files are safe .

You cannot put password, instead put password on your account and create new account for your friend.
To create password for your account just follow below steps:

Enter the name of the user in the dialog window that displays. After you have entered the username, click the "OK" button.
