Creating rules using scripting in Lotus

Hi,

You can create a mail rule in your mail file which is located on the server in order to send the copy of your e-mail to your yahoo mail address. Make sure that you create the rule on your server and not the local copy.

The rules for creating an email rule list under the tools menu in the navigation pane on the left side that is below the list of personal folders. Now, click on the New rule button after opening the Rules pane. Add the condition you want to create rules for, add the action to be performed, add your yahoo email address and test.

As yahoo mail servers always balance loads, while some messages will be copied almost instantly, others might take some time to replicate, especially during peak load hours. In case you have a blackberry or palm top having an email address, you can copy the mail immediately so that you receive the messages more quickly.

You can create the rule in your mail file and set it. Here is how you can implement it:

  1. Condition, when: All documents
  2. Action: Send Full copy to [email protected]
  3. Save the rule and ensure that it is enabled.
  4. A forwarding email address can be added to your personal document that is the master address book on the server which can redirect the messages.

Hope this solves your problem.
