Criticism Of Microsoft Office Word 2007 In Early Stages

The Microsoft Office Word 2007 had few huge pitfalls which included the ribbon crowding the UI and hence not allowing efficient use. A picture is used to show it below.
Also many felt that this led to many software companies patenting all their small ideas after Microsoft decided to do it for the ribbon feature.
